Kane Manuacturing
Poly Pet Heat Mat 18X28
Heat Mat 18X28
Reviewed by: Jeff Barringer

We purchased 2 of these units for testing purposes
directly from the manufacturer in December 2005.

Heavy duty, these heat pads are red. I mean RED. You can see them 100 yards from the tortoise pens.
I don't know if the red color is a requirement of the plastic used, or if it was just a choice made
by Kane.

Kane has long been suppling both the pet and agri-business industries with radiant heat panels, also known as "pig blankets" or "farrowing pads" for close to 30 years, and their experience shows. These units are tanks, and have not had a single problem since implemented.

The only drawback, other than the red color, is that
they do not have any type of built in temperature
control or overheating safeguards. These need to be controlled with an external rheostat unit.

Recommennded to anyone that needs localized floor heating.

PROS:
Virtually indestructable, Relaible, Water Resistant.
Power LED indictor

CONS:
Red Red Red Red Red!, No built in overheating protection, Requires rheostat to control temperature
settings
