I have a red tail boa that I keep in a pretty spartan enclosure, but mites kept cropping up. I'd scrub the container, bathe the snake, put the bowl in the dishwasher and buy new newspaper from outside my house and they would still come back. A friend who owned a pet store turned me onto this product and WOW. I sprayed down the whole cage, snake and all and the mites were gone within 24 hours and haven't come back in over a year.

Knock on wood I won't have to deal with mites again, but if I do I'll reach for this product.

You can use this on mammals as well to take care of ticks and fleas, and I would suspect, rodent mites.

PROS:
Not a dessicant, and no harsh chemicals or pyrethrins. Easy to use and works like a charm. Took care of a pesky mite problem with my red-tail boa with one application. Works on mites, ticks, lice and fleas.

CONS:
None that I've found.
