That just sounds crazy! I'm sure that that is way excessive. That is probably equivalent to a large rat! How is his stomach taht big? He must be at least full grown as in more than 2 years! That sounds more like what a large monitor would eat..Mine is 4-5months probably and he only eats like 1-2 pinkies every other day. If hes eating one rat a day (equivalent) how much does he $hit out? When I get a full grow I plan to feed around 2-3 mice every other day...You need to give him enough time to digest food, most reptiles need time in between to heat up and digest their food..If your over feeding him maybe he isnt digesting everything correctly and it just all coming out poorly digested....Also think about it...If he were in the wild, could he really have that much access to food? Even if he did he would be active all day looking for it....

:My one tegu is almost a year old. He will easily eat two chicks and anywhere from four to six large mice a day. Is that excessive or about average?
