They might be able to blend into their surroundings, but at less than 3in long, it's hard enough to spot these baby chameleons even without their natural disguise.
Smaller than a 10p piece, the 20 flap-necked chameleons were hatched from an incubator a week ago from eggs the size of baked beans.
The mini reptiles are the offspring of illegal immigrants from Tanzania which were confiscated by Customs officers at Heathrow airport at the end of 2001.
They are notoriously difficult to keep and were rejected by several zoos before finding a home in Paignton, Devon.
Reptile curator Colin Bath said: "Not many people will take chameleons on, because they are very difficult to keep alive.
"They don't mix well either, so we had to find 20 different enclosures to keep them separated.
"The adults weren't in a good condition when we got them because they don't travel well and we lost a few of them last year.
"But the babies are doing very well."
