IMHO, I do not see how anyone can say that a tortiose does or doesn't need company. Were there tests to show that they have small brains and that they have no feelings?

Torts have feelings. They can be happy. They can be sad. They can feel pain. They can get scared. And they get lonely.

Every living creature has feelings. And most of them are smarter than what most humans think. That is my opionion so I will be quiet now. :-)
