bumps on the side of my tegu

I have a 1.5 year old Chacoan. At about 6 months he developed a bump on each side of his mid section - midway between front and back legs. One on each side - about the size of a small pea. He has been eating more the last 6 months and they aren't as noticable but I'm wondering what they might be? They are boney and seem like part of his ribs -almost like he "grew wrong" Any thoughts
