Yes, you're right. I used to sell just about every snake found in this area...scarlet kings, indigos, rattlers, corals, etc., and of course I don't now. Unfortunately all the great herping areas here were not decimated by collecting but by heavy development.
Roads that were once sleepy, hardly traveled, are now major six or eight lane highways that give no hint of there ever being snakes anywhere near.
