::Hey Phew- Every year I have some hatchling common snappers that end up with some type of tail damage ie. nipped. I don't send these out with the others as my customers consider them "B" grade. So I hold them back and raise them up a little then release them in my Snapper pond. I keep them in clean water and feed them normaly. And I have never had one where the tail didn't heal up just fine. They don't regenerate, but they heal up nice. thats just mt experience. Lynn

:By the way the temp is important. I keep any with injuries at 80 degrees F. If they are kept cool with an injury it is a perfect place for white fungus to develop. Lynn

AND...I raise all baby common snaps individually. It's a pain, but it's worth it. There now I'm done. Lynn
