Any reptile can easily be over fed. The way reptiles are designed, they will eat as much as possible when it is available in the wild. This way,they store up lots of fat for when food becomes a little more scarce. When they are kept in captivity and over fed, they keep on storing the fat, but as their bodies get used to the huge amounts of food being offered, they will continue to eat and grow very fast as they dont ned to store it,because it's always available to them. By overfeeding, your turtle will grow too quickly, and it will shorten its lifespan, it's also not good on their internal organs such as their liver and kidneys.
