I'm no snapper expert, so I don't know the real answer to your question, but I can point out the flaw in the logic of this assumption. The snapper in the wild may not get any UVB in it's hibernation, but since it is hibernating, it is also not active, and has a near zero metabolism, thus eliminating the need for UVB. UVB helps the body produce necessary elements in absorbing calcium, which is needed for growth and maintenance of bone. If the metabolism is near zero, there is no growth and virtually no maintenance, hence no need for UVB to get those elements. If awake and alert, it would follow that it's dietary needs (including calcium absorbtion) would be the same as it's summertime needs.

Wether or not that includes UVB is beyond my experience with snappers.
