Ridiculous shipping price...read this

Today i shipped out 4 geckos from pa to fl. Overnight air cost 52 bucks, is that regular, i thought shipping was normally 30 or something. second day was only 26, but i didn't want them to be out that long. Also, what is the real law regarding shipping herps, i called fed ex and they said NO. But people say ship em fed ex, i didn't want to take a chance so i said it was fragile pottery. I know it isn't right, but i want to avoid anything that would jeoprodize their health.
