post a photo of him next to a similarly sized Kenyan (particularly one of your yellower Kenyans) and with a plain background so we can get a decent color comparison.

While some of the nicer Egyptian Sand Boas I have seen were yellow, many have sort of a dirty tan background color (with just a hint of yellow).

The pic you used from my web site is of a male that I picked out of a large group that the Barker's had. They were confiscated by customs officials in an illegal shipment from Egypt and ended up at VPI. I went through the group and picked 1.2 of the nicer ones for myself. There were others in the group that weren't as yellow.

Hollister's Egyptians are fairly colorful individuals as well. Baby egyptians are also much paler than adults (although the one in your pic appears to be an adult/subadult male?).
