Yes crested geckos remember were to go for their food every night. I find my guys perched above their bowls right before feeding time. If I take to long they will even sometimes fall asleep in them waiting like the girl above. So not only do they know where but they also know when to go. Crickets are located via sight and fruit by smell. When I but a strong smelling fruit in the cage their tongues start going and they quickly located it. However I am sure sight plays a part too.
