I have discussed this with Mike previously so maybe I can help a little. We recently tried incubation at 80-82 degrees and have had problems with eggs. An associate of mine had two hatch in 55 days at 82 degrees and the CG's died approx. two days later. It seems that in nature, the environment given (New Caledonia) and the fact the eggs are buried that the soil temps would at least hit 80-82 degrees. Unfortunately there is no exact info on this. We are now back to incubating at room temp 74-78 degrees with no incubator. Longer hatch time, but safer. It is commonly expressed by others to use perilite at a 1:1 ratio (water/perlite). As far as clutches go, typical for adult female to lay approx. 8-10 clutches per breeding season. Hope this helps and good luck!
