It was my understanding that most green snakes have a base layer of blue produced through Tyndall scattering, which is then overlaid with yellow. In axanthic morphs of these snakes, they appear blue (e.g. blue green tree pythons). I just assumed that green lizards worked the same way, but I realize I might be wrong.

Some Green Basilisks that are hatched in captivity are an aqua blue. I used to breed them and hatched dozens out that looked like that. Also, I worked with some Fiji Island Banded Iguanas while doing an internship at the Houson Zoo. Several of those had a distinct blue coloration. Again, more of an aqua blue. I don't think its possible to produce a bright, solid blue lizard, but these are about as close as I've seen. The Crested Gecko I have in my collection is kind of a greyish blue.
