:Standing it on it's side is best. It isn't a good idea to house cresties together despite what some may say. Housing animals together can be stressful on them especially the female. It is best to keep them separate.

::I am moving my adult pair who are being house seperate in 10 gal aquariums into a 20 gal long. Should I keep it long or should I stand it up on its end and keep it vertical? Also since they are both going into a new cage will there be any tension between them because the cage in new territory to both of them. Thanks
