If I'm not mistaken, your current female is one you got from Jenn before she moved? If so, she bought her back in April, and I believe she was about 2 months old at the time. That means she won't be ready to breed before spring if you only go by age. She might be a bit behind in growth since she was relocated twice, so she had two episodes of 'new home stress' to contend with in less than 6 months. It wouldn't be too far out to say she'll catch up by summer, and be a safe breeding size and age. Since cresties don't have a cut and dried breeding season, you can still get lots of eggs from her next year.
Just give her time and she'll come around.
