Snake age

Hi all ,I just found out that the Albino Rat Snake (Tizzy) I got yesterday is 3 years old. Is this a bad thing? I probally should have asked right (duhhh) I paid 129.00 for him was I ripped off.. even though we love him:) And does anyone know the life span of rat snakes? Thank you... oh please don't think that we don't love Tizzy it wouldn't have mattered how old he was I just want to make sure that we weren't taken.
