Thanks for straightening me out on the nomenclature! I just can't seem to get used it. So the Fox Snake has been divided into two full species now, instead of subs of vulpina? Interesting.
I believe that in Ontario we are unable to keep ANY species native to the province. For example, I'd love to be able to keep Black Rat Snakes, but as they are native to Ontario (albeit VERY uncommon) I am unable to.
However, if Fox Snakes are now actually two different SPECIES, them perhaps I could keep the one which is not found here.
