Well, I've been looking at it all but temperment is a consideration for me. I personally don't want to end up with a snake that's going to freak out badly every time I try to hold him or even just take him out to clean his cage.

I know they get bigger than my little kingsnake, I think as much as twice as big (though my kingsnake I swear is trying to break four feet and I'm sure I've read that mexican blacks or even blacks, I suspect I was sold a black one instead, too much yellow, only get to four feet).

So, would a ratsnake be fine in a 40 gallon terrarium (some places suggest even a 30 would be fine but if I did that I'd just stick the kingsnake, the smaller one, in the 30 and put the ratsnake in my kingsnake's 40)?

Anyways thanks for the information.
