These have turned up on occasion at Florida importers but they've been few are far between.

There have also been confiscations of animals smuggled out of India (at least I think it was India) that have ended up at some North American Zoos. Unfortunately some of those have been too far gone to survive much less breed.

I don't know if you've ever seen the picture of this species in Non-Venomous Snakes by Trutnau but the zoo specimens I've seen did have the wonderful cream coloration of that specimen.

However, they were amazing animals and I think they'd be enjoyable to work with. For what it is worth myself and another former zoo keeper I know but remarked how similar these were to coachwhips (Masticophis) as far as working with them in a captivity.
