Racer not eating!

my black racer isnt eating, i offerd him a small mouse.(very small, like 3") he didnt even payany attention to it. then i tried a frog, he didnt take it either. will it ever eat? hes a good snake, never bitten me or anything. very active. thatnks for the advise.
