How big is your Ig (weight)? Try giving him gatorade. about 26ML per Kilogram that he weights or 12ml per pound.
When your Vet did a blood work up on your Ig, what were it's ca/phos ratio?

Has anyone successfully treated kidney failure or kidney related problem in iguanas?

: Here is the abridged edition of what I have to work from:

: " he has always had a huge appetite, eating large amounts, brocc, carrots, eggs, mac and cheese, cottage cheese eggs, once in awhile, any way he stopped eating about a month ago, I decided maybe he was trying to hibernate, so I did not force him to eat, now he's shaking and trembling all the time, he seems very weak, I am force feeding him now, small amounts of baby food, and pedialyte for infants"......."surprising enough his calcium levels were good and most all his bloodwork showed a previous very healthy animal, his kidneys were off the board, they think but poisioning"....."I noticed that he was eating mountains of the watermelon vines, which i did not think to be a problem, but they think was toxic to him"......."I decided no more vets or chemicals"......."I spoke with a homeopathic vet, day

: before yesterday and he told me to put him on a strict juice diet, he would

: not accept any solid food right now anyway, he seems to like the juice and he

: also (I pray I don't jinx him by saying this) seems to be responding, he was

: outside most of the day today, and he was a beautiful lime green again, first

: time in weeks, he has been almost black for days, now I really don't know if

: color has anything to do with health, or if it's just mood. he is also on

: vitamin supplements, his shakes are not quite as bad, he even gave me the snob

: treatment today"

: This woman is coming to me for advice on future care, I have already spoken to her about NO ANIMAL PROTEIN, but my concern is with trying to flush out his kidneys so that they will work. Any treatment ideas?

: Thanks,

: Jeff
