A parasite needs a living host and only eats a very small amount of the hosts food. If you decide to treat then be prepared to limit stress to a minimum and always keep fresh water available to drink, feed regularly whole animal foods as they are best and contain water. The medication is very rough and can dehydrate the animal as well as make it sick. Be cautious and procede as you will. The medication more than anything will limit but may eliminate all worms (round, and pin).
