Back in November I posted asking if anyone had seen the G. radiata x G. carbonaria from Reunion Is. A few days I received a copy of the Chelonian Conservation & Biology Journal (Nov."93) from the TTPG. On page 52 is a black&white pic of this tortoise!
The hybrid was the product of a lone male redfoot kept in captivity with a group of male and female radiated.
The torts basic shell shape is very much like the radiated but the color is typical of the redfoot - black shell, scutes with yellow centers. Not at all as colorful as I expected.
