I don't know that there is. Crother et al (2000) in their list of standard common and scientific names still use all three subspecies (but mention that gloydi may not be valid).

Same goes for the elevation of kennerlyi to a full species.

I thought Curtis E. was supposed to publish this. I guess it is still in the works (at least, I haven't seen it yet).

here in your old stomping grounds (San Angelo) and you see the blotch counts look a little more like the typical nasicus nasicus that you see in the Panhandle

I'm reading this thinking "Who the heck is this jediknight guy, and how does he know I used to live in SA? Then I remembered! Seeing your name and the Eryx question helped too!

BTW - did you see I snuck out to your site last weekend while I was in San Angelo (sorry - a one nighter so I didn't call!).

I tried to post a link to my web page describing my trip, but apparently KS.com has seen fit to not allow any links to my web page as it is hosted by a competitor. Anyway, found a splendida baby and finally found one of those darned skinks you claim are so common!


:BTW - were you feeding those Eryx live or thawed pinks?
If I remember correctly, one was taking dead readily and the other was preferring live (but had taken dead). Aren't they eating for you?
