I use mouse tails. Its much easier. I also use the side of a syringe needle (A Vet gave me) for snakes. Just a little pressure will open their mouth. When I tried to force feed my hog she spit the tail out. A week later she started eating on her own again and now she's slamming down the pinks. That was after a very long fast.
