Unfortunately, it's very unlikely you'll be able to tame a house gecko, as they're very skittish by nature. They are also somewhat delicate, so when you do handle him, make sure your very gentle. House geckos (like most geckos) can drop they're tails if handled roughly.

House geckos really aren't hands-on pets. They're more like tree frogs, better suited as terrarium pets, one's which you just view and appreciate for what they are.

If you want a gecko that doesn't mind being handled, you might wanna consider getting a Leopard Gecko as your next lizard. Later.
