Rattlesnakes like C. atrox and C. mitchelli have been active for a while, along with the desert C. molossus. I've personally seen a few of each species, along with a good number of colubrids. I think it's safe to say that snake activity has really picked up in the Sonoran desert at least, as long as you know where to find your target species. I haven't seen any C. cerastes yet, but I also haven't looked for them in any habitats that I know they occur in good numbers.
