Lava Lizards are common. Males, like the one in this photo, are larger, a foot long, maybe more; females are smaller and have red throats when in breeding condition. They don't frequent the shoreline rocks, as the Marine Iguanas do, but their niches sometimes overlap: I got one picture of an adult male Lava Lizard on the same rock as a juvenile Marine Iguana.
