Sorry if my post seemed harsh but let's consider how harsh the method of euthanization you proposed is. First of all, most of us (with the exception to a sick few) want to minimize the amount of suffering to our feeders. Drowning seems to me to be be one of the slowest, most agonizing ways to die. It takes alot longer than one might think. Second of all, there are too many other ways to euthanize a feeder to even consider drowning to be an alternative. Crushing the skull of a feeder not only kills it fast but it also minimizes the amount of pain felt for the feeder because it eliminates pain sensors at the foundation. There are other methods too, but the key ingredients to a truly humane method is quick and painless.
And let's put ourselves in the position of choosing our own fate. Would you rather drown a slow, painful death, or be knocked senseless so that you never knew what hit you? Slow or fast? More pain or less pain? We all know what we would choose, so let's give our feeders something that nature just couldn't.....a quick death.
