I think most everything on this subject has already been said, but I've got to add my 2 cents.

The most important thing to remember is

BUY FROM AN ESTABLISHED DEALER.

If the price is cheap,the animal looks thin or weak, the display is dirty and looks like it was just drug in from the backyard, it probably was. You'll never see these people again.

Many of us actually make a living (not just at shows) providing top quality animals at reasonable prices. We'll gladly provide you with care info and a phone number in case you have questions later, or hopefully want to purchase another animal.

As for the Texas Reptile Expos they are the cleanest best run shows we attend. Some problem vendors do get in from time to time but they are promptly delt with.

Last but not least, these animals are living creatures and how you handle them after you purchase them plays an important role. Don't let them get to hot/cold on the way home, get them set up properly ASAP, let them get adjusted to their new surroundings.
