why college?

Okay-feel free to disagree. But do you think college is the right route to go for someone who already has more herp experience and knowledge than most college taught herpetologists? Especially if that person is already aged 42. I ask because I didn't have the opportunity to go to college. I had to buy ALL the text books over the years and educate myself. Does that make me less qualified to do the same jobs. Oh, I forgot-I don't have a PHD or whatever right so I' am less qualified-right. I really don't think so. I think it's very unfair that I have devoted my life to this and you would call me-unqualified.
