I tried, but from the moment I got him out of the box (he was shipped) he tried to take off...same with the female. Then I attempted several times to pick him up and if I did catch him he would whip his tail and puff up...then I just left him alone for a while.
He slowly stopped running when I fed him and now he watches me as I open the viv and he doesn't run at all..it happens when they get comfortable. He seems to like high pitched voices too :) The female still heads for cover if I get too close but she was bought a bit later.
I really think looking back I should have just left him alone and let him relax (it takes aussies longer then asians...unless they have been hand reared from the start)They are beautiful though and worth the trouble.
