carl,

i have been going to houston's show since its inception, and never has they been 100% successful at reaching the 100% cb mark. there are ALWAYS a few Long Term Captive (LTC) wc animals for sale there. i can't be 100% sure (w/o having been to your show) that yours wasn't 100% captive bred, but i'd bet against it.

i am not suggesting and will not suggest that you didn't make an honest effort to promote a purely captive-bred show, but i doubt seriously that you were 100% successful (even if i discount my "sources" of info that you weren't). in all likelihood (as with the houston expos) the spirit of cb may well have been maintained, but the reality is undoubtably another thing altogether.

furthermore, its impossible to distinguish between "captive bred" and "captive born" to wc gravid females.

oh, and don't disparage my "sources" - some of them have more experience in the herp trade than you. 8^)

troy
