growth rates. I have to agree with John that diet, frequency of feeding, temperatures, stress levels and competition for food and basking spots, and genetics all come into play. I'm currently raising 3 Rhinos and their growth rates have been much different. The youngest is larger at one year than the other 2 were at 2 years of age. The 3 year old male has grown slowly but steadily with no real spurts. The eldest at 4 years old had a real growth spurt in the last year. All of these lizards were raised the same way...similar enclosures, temps and diet. The major difference is that Loofah, the youngest, has had a cage mate for the last 6 months. This is Scrub, the 3 year old male.
