The super quick answers to your questions are no, no, and no. But, you are right to ask first! Before you decide about this here are some great info sites for reading on chams. They will help you find out what you'd be getting into beforehand. Unlike snakes, diurnal lizards have higher metabolisms and need food and water every day, and have UV requirements that make diet and lighting more complicated. I think herpers who are used to snakes are surprised at how much daily attention they need.
