::I need advice on how to seal tile grout, I have heard (is in a previous post) that it can be sealed with water?!?!? How? also what is "prolab" sealer and where can I get it? Also my brother suggested a heavy silicone sealant, would that work? any replys are well appreciated.

:Hey there , ok ill elaborate more on this . ProLab is a trade name for a store bought grout sealer , it can be purchased at any Home Depot , Lowes Home Improvement store or any likeness in you area that sales flooring esp ceramic, marble, porcelean tiles. It comes in a Green and gold plastic bottle has somewhat a geometric design such as the lines in tile work .. lol any way it runs about pls forgive me ill let you know exact price and even post a picture of what it looks like today as im buying some for the floors in the remodel im working on. Ok theres several ways to apply this brush , sponge , mop ... all you do is repeatedly apply it to the surfaces depending on the type of tile you are using directions on the bottle are simple to follow.

:what this does is pentrates the surfaces of tile and grout ( tile may vary depending on "types and finishes on them")it simply inpenetrates or waterlogs and has a few extra items in it heres where i would READ carefully the ingreideint of ANY commercial sealer used as there are things other then just H20 in them and may create a toxic residue when it can residually " bleed or weep" out of the tile & grout when saturated .

:Ok now to seal it with Water
:Find a very "light oil" and mix 50-50% and apply as above the water will break down the very light oil enough to let in seal the tile with a natural product you will need to do it 3-4 time over a period of a day or so and then wipe it good with a dry cloth to remove any excess oil. hope this was a littler better info for you
