I think you need to consider getting rid of the snake if you can't bring it indoors. I know several zoo curators in the southern US and they really struggle with keeping non-aquatic reptiles outdoors. Lizards and tortises can be kept outdoors in some cages but snakes which require tight cages that build up heat just don't work.
I have not seen your barn but many outdoor barns, outbuilding, etc. actually get hotter than the outside air due to a greenouse effect and then don't cool off as much at night because they retain the heat.
Also, I'm sure the actual enclosure the snake is kept in will build up heat.
You have no choice other than to keep the animal inside or find a tight room in the barn and cool it with a window-air conditioner.
Does your barn have a room you can cool down with an air conditioner?
