there are a few things to consider. I take some of my snakes out to get some sun. However, you have to be very vigilant & keep a close eye on them. The can easily slip out of your sight in no time. You can't get distracted & forget about your snake or he will be gone. When I let my snakes out to sun, I'm not doing anything else that would distract me. Also, there needs to be consideration of predators to your snake. One of the first times I let one of my snakes out, the cat showed too much interest like she was ready to pounce. I had to put the cat up. May sure any cats or dogs don't have access to your snake. You may want to place your snake in a area that has shade & sunlight. This way he can thermoregulate which means he can choose between the to mediums. If he gets too hot, he can go into the nearby shade & cool off. Not a bad idea, but just make sure you monitor him closely.

:hey everyone,
: do any of you think that a bullsnake would enjoy or at least benefit from some sunbathing? we're starting to get some pretty nice spring days here where i'm at, and i'm just tryin to decide if my little guy might enjoy some sunshine. I don't want to worry about him getting too hot, so i'm not gonna take him out until i have a temperature gun or somthin. Thanks for any input!
