Yes, this would be a good habitat as long as it isn't wet all of the time. Humidity is good for box turtles. They live in the forests in the wild, near water.

I think that the best way to find a box turtle is to contact the closest herpetological society or club (most have an adoptions officer) to see if there are any turtles up for adoption. You could also contact any local wildlife rehab centers.

:Hi, I was wondering if eastern box turtles need a dry terrarium or could they live in a tank that was almost always wet and humid. The reason I ask is because I just set up a real nice terrarium with real plants and moss and such and was wondering what type of herp I could put in there? IF this is the wrong set up for an eastern box what turtle could live in there? Also, does anyone know who breeds easterns?
