. Albinoman may be right. It may be what we have been calling the Guyana Rainbow for many years. It does look very similar but also just a little darker and more strongly marked than the ones I have seen from Guyanan. The Guyanans and this snake look to me like they have features similar to crassus and assisi but the ranges of those two subspecies are a long ways from Guyana and southern Venezueala. For a long time we thought the Guyana Rainbows were naturally occuring intergrades between cenchria cenchria and cenchria maurus but we have seen that CB intergrades of these two ssp. turn out looking more like chocolate colored unspectacularly patterned BRBs. We just do not know enough about these snakes. I hope you and others who collect in Venezueala and Guyana will keep information about where you find them and how they differ in apearance and perhaps over time we can get a better idea about them.
