Gaurang, I don't think that would be in anyway possible. Snakes will not contract the human HIV virus, and if it had bitten someone with HIV positive the virus would have been long gone by the time it bit you. Its like saying what if a mosquito bit somebody that was HIV positive and then bit you. I doubt it could happen.

: The last time i was at a herp show i picked up a baby carpet python to examine it, and it promptly bit me twice near the base of my thumb. the question then occurred to me; what if this snake had previously bitten a person who was HIV positive, is there any chance of transmission of the virus to me? i'm assuming the chance of transmission through this method is highly improbable, but if anyone has any knowledge whether this is even possible, please share your thoughts. thanks. gaurang
