GULF COAST TOAD Ollotis (Bufo) nebulifer (Girard, 1854)

STATUS:  Abundant

DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Dallas, Ellis, Hood, Kaufman, Johnson, Parker, Somervell, and Tarrant

HABITAT:  Mesquite Grand Prairie, Blackland Prairie, Trinity River Bottoms, Eastern Cross Timbers, Cedar-Limestone Hills, Brazos River Bottoms, and the southern part of the Fort Worth Prairie 

COMMENTS:  The gulf coast toad is most abundant in the southern half of the Metroplex and seems to be increasing in number.
