DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Kaufman

HABITAT:  Post Oak Belt

SUBSPECIES:  Dusty Hognose Snake (H. n. gloydi Edgren, 1952)

COMMENTS:  There are very few deep sandy soils in the Metroplex to sustain a population of the dusty hog-nosed snake.
