STATUS:  Rare

DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Denton, Somervell, and Tarrant

HABITAT:  Trinity River Bottoms and Brazos River Bottoms

SUBSPECIES:  Midland Smooth Softshell A. m. mutica (LeSueur, 1827)

COMMENTS:  There are no recent records of the midland smooth softshell in the Trinity River.  Specimens need to be brought in for confirmation.
