Echiopsis (Latin =
viper-like-snake)
(Bardick and Lake Cronin snakes)
Bites by Echiopsis curta have been clinically reported as resembling death adder bites. Confirming evidence of the similarity has come from Bardick snake venom giving positive results for death adder venom when tested using the CSL venom detection kit.
These snakes should be regarded as dangerous.
