
November 18, 2006 (Saturday), Mocassin Lake Nature Park presents 2nd Annual Golf Tournament Furndraiser Golf for the Wildlife.

Check in begins at 7 am; 8 am Shotgun Start. $85.00 per participant, $340 for foursome. Package includes: Green fees, cart fee, practice facility and range balls, bottled water and post-tournament buffet including soda or ice tea and Awards Ceremony. Bonus: One free round of golf on a later date, with the paid rental of a golf cart (25.00).
Proceeds to support:
*Permanently injured, non-relasable wildlife, providing their food, shelter, care, maintenance and medical needs. Native wildlife may include birds of prey, such as hawks, owls, eagles, and vultures, as well as migratory song birds, snakes, turtles, frogs, and much more.
*Continued environmental education of wildlife awareness through the use of guided tours, classes, programs, outreach presentations, exhibits, volunteer opportunities, and much more. Moccasin Lake Nature Park is an Environmental and Energy Education Center. Vistiors to the park experience a small piece of Florida's natural history at the 51-acre natural retreat. Come walk the mile-long nature trails where you might encounter a Bald Eagle, egrets, ospreys, butterflies, turtles, or the occasional alligator. Visit the gift shop and live wildlife exhibits where you can see non-venomous snakes, tortoises, freshwater fish, amphibians and many birds of prey.
Holidays OPEN: Labor Day, September 5 and Veteren's Day (Nov. 11).
Holidays CLOSED: Thanksgiving and the day after.
Daily Admission Fees (plus 7% tax)
Age 13 and up: $2.79
Age 3-12: $1.85
Under 3: Free (but must be accompanied by an adult).
