Lampropeltis zonata

Just as in pyromelana , current knowledge of the coral mountain kingsnake exceeds that of previous taxonomists. Exposure of zonata from collectors and locality breeders demonstrates the need for a better classification system. Currently, a group from the University of California, Berkeley, has begun genetic research on the coral mountain kingsnakes. For now, the standing classifications have been presented.
