TEXAS HERPS

Piebald Texas Bairds Ratsnakes

I collected a piebald juvi female in 97 in the Davis Mtns. The next year I collected a male in almost the same spot. They bred for the first time in 2001 and produced 1.4 normal babies.
I kept the male and he bred to his mother last year. I only hatched three and they were all normal. I need a better sample before giving up on this project so I hope to have a nice big clutch in 2005.
If they are all normal they will go for $100.00pr (they are still 100% locale Davis Mtns.)
if I get any pieds I will be keeping them and I will probably then sell the rest as hets for ???????

Orange Phase Trans Pecos Ratsnakes

In (04)Aaron Mattson and myself collected a incredible orange female suboc on the river road (2.3 miles west of Panther Canyon).
We also found a male about 30 yards away that is normal in apperance but we hope to produce babies from this pair in 2005.
We showed this animal to alot of other long time big bend herpers and they all agreed that it was the most orange one they had ever seen.
We are hopeing it is acually a color phase that will be passed on and only time will tell.
We will sell the babies as possible hets for now and they will be $250.00pr
